Craps is by far the loudest and most exciting game that takes place in the casino. It’s a group game where everyone at the table can participate in betting. The objective of the game is simple. You have to guess what the value of the outcome of the two dice you roll is going to be. There are number of terms craps strategies and bets you have to know while playing craps. But don’t let that worry you. They are really simple and usually one type of bet is the opposite of another as you will come to see. Once you get the hang of it, craps is becomes really fun.
I play craps on the internet at online casinos and even though you are not playing worth other people, it is still a lot of fun to play and the odds are better online as well.So let’s start with the craps basics. First let’s get acquainted with the people at the craps table. There are four people who are actively in charge at the table.
The boxman
He’s the boss and sits behind the middle of the table and keeps a close watch over the proceedings of the craps gambling game.
Dealers
There are two other dealers on either side of the boxman who handle players on their respective sides. Their job is to rake in the chips of the losers and payoff the winners.
Stickman
He’s the guy with a stick to be simply out. The stick man is in charge of the dice. After seeing all the bets that have been placed, he pushes sets of dice to the shooter. The player can choose which pair of dice he would like to play with and after that he is ready to go. The dice are rolled across that table to hit the wall on the other end.
Now that we know who’s who at the table, let’s figure out how craps is played, the craps basics. In craps, the player who rolls the dice is known as the ‘shooter’ and first throw of the dice is called the Come out Roll. If the shooter makes a 7 or 11 on the first roll he wins and this is called a ‘natural’. You win chips equal to what you have bet in the pass line. If on the first roll you make a 2, 3 or a 12, called craps, you lose. The dealer takes you pass line bet. The shooter doesn’t quit rolling. He can go on rolling until he makes a ‘seven out’.
If you on the first roll you make a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 you have made yourself a ‘box point’. You should then keep on rolling the dice until you can make the same number again. But if you roll a 7 before making that same box point, you lose.
Craps Bets
There are number of bets that can be placed in the Craps table. Craps is known to offer some of the best bets among casino games. Also Craps has a very low and even close to no house edge therefore offering you a beneficial gamble.
Let’s understand the various Craps bets

Pass Line Bet
The pass line is the very basic wager of craps and almost all players bet on it. There are two ways to win the pass line bet.
If you roll a 2, 3 or 12 on the come out roll (this roll is called craps) you lose the pass line bet.
You complete a pass when you have repeated the box point number before rolling a 7. If so, you get to roll the dice again. After making a box point on the come out roll, the other numbers you roll while trying to make your point number again doesn’t affect the bets. You can make a Pass line bet during the shooter’s roll and even after he rolls the establishing box point.
Taking the Odds
After the point has been established, a player who has placed a pass line bet can also make a “take the odds” bet. An extra wager, up to the amount of your original bet, a single odds bet is that the point number will be repeated before the shooter rolls a 7. The odds bet are the best bet in craps because house has no edge. Also there is no specific place to for the odds bet on the craps table and it is usually just placed behind your pass line bet.
Come Bets
Come bets are similar to a pass line bet except that a come bet can be made on every throw of the dice after the shooter has established the point. Place chips in the come are to make your come bet. This bet is available once the player establishes a point. A Come Point is made when the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 on a Come Out roll. The dealer will then place the bet of the come area in the corresponding box for the particular number. Once the come point is created the original bets cannot be changed or removed. The player wins if he rolls the come point before a 7 and loses if the 7 come first. If one of the craps number is rolled out you lose, however this doesn’t affect the line bets.
Don’t Pass Line
The Don’t Pass Line is almost the opposite of the Pass Line. If you bet on the Don’t Pass line and the Come Out roll is a 2 or 3 then you win. And if the Come Out roll is a 7 or 11 you lose. If you get 12 it is a push. On the don’t pass line, rolling of the 7 before the point is rolled again makes you win. Don’t pass line bets can be removed after a point number is hit on the come out roll.
Laying the Odds
This is exactly the opposite of taking the odds. This bet can be made by players who have placed bets on the don’t pass line after the point is established on the come out roll
Don’t come bets
The rules are similar to the Don’t pass bets. The player wins if he rolls a 2 or 3 and loses if he rolls a 7 or 11. 12 is a tie. The come point is made when the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 on a Come Out roll. The dealer will then place the bet of the ‘don’t come area’ in the corresponding box for the particular number.
Place bets on 6 and 8
A place bet is made on any of the point numbers, i.e. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. It’s just a wager that any one of these numbers will be rolled before a 7. Players cannot make a take the odds bet on a place bet. To place bets on 6 or 8 just give your chips to the dealer and ask him to ‘place the six’ or ‘place the eight’
Single Roll Bets
The player bets on the single numbers 2, 3, 11 or 12
Hardway Bets
The player places bets on the single numbers 4, 6, 8 and 10. However these numbers have to be made up of rolls that are usually hard to make. Like 4, 4 is Hardway 8.
Field
The player bets that any one group of numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 will be rolled on the next roll.
Any Craps

Eleven or Craps (E-C)
